Fire Prevention Reviews

The British Columbia Fire Code places the responsibility on the owner or the owner’s agent for carrying out the provisions of the BC Fire Code. This means it is the duties of the building owner to ensure that all fire safety measures are adhered to and that all inspections and logs are completed ensuring a proper record for the safety of all occupants.

Not all buildings are properly inspected for fire safety. Fire Departments inspect buildings once a year and that inspection is good for that moment in time.

A proper training program will provide personnel with the ability to observe 365 days a year and ensure the installed fire safety equipment is in good working order. If problems are found they can be corrected immediately ensuring the occupants and building are safe and the owner is not at risk.
